Leeds United now have chance to land bargain signing for just £6m, they must do it

It will come as no surprise that Ryan Kent is being linked with a move to Leeds United once again ahead of the January window – but at just £6m, the Whites have got to consider making a move.

Kent, 27, has been strongly linked with a move to Leeds for a number of years. Mostly, during Marcelo Bielsa’s reign as manager. TalkSPORT say Leeds made a £10m bid, which was rejected back in 2020.

Since then, Kent has ended his five-year stint at Rangers – moving to Turkey with Fenerbahce. But, he has failed to make an impression. Just seven starts from a possible 23, scoring one and creating two.

TeamTalk say Leeds, Bournemouth and Rangers are all keen on Kent, and he will cost £6m. The player is keen to return to Britain already. Turkish site Miliyet said he is unhappy and ‘ready to leave’ Fenerbahce.

Now, Leeds have options out wide. But, by the end of the January window and certainly in the summer, those options look more than likely to diminish. Willy Gnonto looks set to leave at the first opportunity.

Failure to gain promotion may see Cree Summerville consider his options. Jaidon Anthony is only on loan at Leeds and Ian Poveda really needs a move for the good of his career. Kent, then, makes sense.

And given Leeds were willing to pay an eight-figure fee for him only three years ago, surely almost half that figure will tempt Leeds. Really, it should. The ex-Liverpool man is a Premier League-quality winger.

A player that can change games, doing so in the Europa League as Rangers got to the final. Skill, goals, and a canny ability to constantly create goals. He could be the ideal winger for Daniel Farke, at £6m.
