Leeds United have been hit with another worrying relegation prediction as Daniel Farke’s side continue to struggle in the Premier League.
Daniel Farke is under serious pressure as his side prepares to face Manchester City, with most observers agreeing that his side is set for another defeat.
Chris Sutton predicted that Leeds would fall to a 4-0 defeat at the Etihad, a result that could spell the end for Farke, as the 49ers consider his future.
No promoted side has won against Manchester City since Stuart Dallas inspired Leeds to a win in 2021, and the Whites have the daunting task of stopping the in-form Erling Haaland this time around.
However, Leeds have been hit with another damaging prediction on the verge of the game, with former Premier League striker Tony Cascarino giving the Whites little chance of avoiding the drop this season.
Tony Cascarino delivers Leeds United relegation verdict
Speaking on TalkSport Breakfast on the morning of 29th November, Cascarino delivered his downbeat assessment of Leeds’ chances of remaining in the top flight.
While the prediction that Leeds will be relegated is not an uncommon view among pundits, Cascarino’s view that Leeds may finish below relegation rivals Burnley should come as a shock to Leeds’ owners, the 49ers.
Cascarino said: “Leeds have got to be better because I think Burnley have got more chance of staying up than Leeds.
“Even though in the table, Leeds are 18th, Burnley are 19th, there’s only a point separating them. I think Leeds have got a really tough run of fixtures now.
Asked if Leeds stood any chance of pulling off an upset against City, Cascarino concluded: “I’d be amazed if they got a result. I’d say they can, but I’d be amazed if they did.”

Daniel Farke cannot afford another slip against Premier League relegation rivals
Although Leeds have struggled against teams in the top half of the season so far, their record against the teams around them has generally been better, aside from the defeat against Nottingham Forest.
However, the biggest blemish on their record was the damaging 2-0 loss at Turf Moor, which saw Farke’s side struggle to break down one of their nearest relegation rivals.

That defeat was a warning sign for Leeds fans, as the Whites cannot afford to drop many points from the teams around them in the table.
Farke and his side will almost certainly have ground to make up when they emerge from this difficult run of fixtures. Having dropped so many points in recent weeks, they cannot afford any more slips against their fellow relegation candidates.
