Leicester City have rejected a loan offer from Leeds United for Luke Thomas.
That is according to Team Talk, who report Leicester were reluctant to let Thomas leave to a potential promotion rival and such, have turned down the advances of the Whites.
Instead, Thomas now looks set for a move to Sheffield United with Leicester having sanctioned a loan deal for the 22-year-old to move to Bramall Lane.
The Blades joined the race earlier today, with Tom Collomosse reporting Paul Heckingbottom was considering making an offer, which now appears to have moved quickly.
Sheffield United entered the market for a new left-back after losing Ben Osborn to injury in the 2-1 defeat to Manchester City at the weekend.

Leeds remain in the market for a new left-back before Friday’s 11pm deadline and Thomas emerged as one of their top targets earlier this week.
Phil Hay reported on the Athletic that Leeds had made two enquiries for the Leicester full-back, with a view to taking him on loan.
Thomas has found himself out of new manager Enzo Marseca’s plans at the King Power Stadium, having played no minutes in either league or cup.
Leeds will now be forced to turn their attentions elsewhere in their pursuit of a left-back with Charlie Taylor among those to have been linked.
Daniel Farke’s need to strengthen this position was heightened last weekend when Sam Byram joined Junior Firpo in the treatment room in the win at Ipswich Town.
