Leeds United are among the clubs to have made a shock approach for Napoli winger Hirving Lozano.
That is according to W Deportes, who report while Leeds, Stoke City and Everton have all spoken to the representatives of the 27-year-old, he now looks set for a move to Los Angeles Football Club.
In fact, a deal has now been reported as being at an advanced stage, with Lozano set to turn down the aforementioned English trio, as well as Saudi Arabia, in favour of a move to LAFC.
He is expected to sign a four-year-deal at the MLS club, putting a swift end to Leeds‘ ambitious interest in the player, who made 32 appearances as Napoli lifted the Serie A title last season.
Lozano is one of the best talents to come out of Mexico in recent years and so with Leeds now in the Championship, a deal would’ve always been unlikely.

As per Transfermarkt, Lozano is valued in excess of £21 million which is simply a fee Leeds cannot afford to pay in the second tier.
Additionally, Leeds are absolutely stacked for options in the wide positions with a number of their players in that role capable of playing at a higher level.
Leeds are keen to keep the likes of Wilfried Gnonto, Jack Harrison and Luis Sinisterra around, while Crysencio Summerville, Dan James and Ian Poveda are all also currently at the club.
Daniel Farke still has plenty of work to do in strengthening his squad this summer and there is no doubt funds would be put to better use elsewhere.
