Both Junior Firpo and Marc Roca have been linked with a summer exit from Leeds United this summer but both were in attendance on Monday as the Whites returned for pre-season testing at Leeds Beckett University this week.

Brenden Aaronson, Robin Koch and Diego Llorente are closing in on loan moves to Union Berlin, Eintracht Frankfurt and AS Roma – according to Phil Hay. Many are expected to join the trio, and right at the top of that list is Roca.

Estadio Deportivo reported recently that Real Betis are hopeful Roca, 26, completes a medical on Tuesday to join the La Liga club. Whether that is going to happen remains to be seen. But a loan to Betis looks more and more likely.

Another report from ED state that Betis, who have qualified for the Europa League under Manuel Pellegrini, have also made an enquiry to sign Firpo. A move that would see the ex-Barcelona man return to Betis, where he starred.

But, on Monday, with Koch, Llorente and international players missing from the squad’s return – Firpo and Roca were both in attendance. The Spanish duo posted on their Instagram stories on Monday evening, after a day’s testing.

Roca posted a couple of images, the first in which he is seen embracing Georginio Rutter – another player linked with the exit door at Elland Road this summer. Then, the second, seen talking to teenage midfielder Darko Gyabi.

Left-back Firpo, meanwhile, posted an image of himself looking directly down the barrel of the camera – modelling the club’s new 2023-24 training kit, with new sponsors BOXT and UNIBET. It is unclear if they will remain at Leeds.
