‘Leaving’… Feyenoord star claims 22-year-old won’t be at Leeds United for much longer

Crysencio Summerville took his tally to 23 goals and assists for Leeds United this term on Saturday as the Whites continue their red-hot form – and a Feyenoord star says he is leaving “in the summer”.

Summerville, 22, has been on absolute fire this season. After his brace on Saturday, the Netherlands ace has 15 goals and eight assists so far – and looks good to go and take his tally north of 30 involvements.

Leeds of course, signed Summerville from Feyenoord for a bargain £1.3m in 2020. The winger never actually played a game for his boyhood club. But, they have been linked with re-signing Summerville.

Arne Slot – a manager that was once linked with replacing Jesse Marsch at Elland Road – recently said that he wanted to sign Summerville in January. Summerville took to Instagram, after Saturday afternoon.

His form will not be going unnoticed as he continues to take the Championship by storm. His first proper season, in which he’s a regular in the starting XI. Ross McCormack said he’s the best in the division.

The win over Rotherham takes Leeds a step closer to the top two, with Ipswich dropping more points in a 2-2 draw with West Brom. Southampton came from behind to win 5-3 over Huddersfield on Saturday.

Attention switches quickly to Swansea on Tuesday night, with Leeds travelling to Wales this week as we look to continue our brilliant form. Summerville will be hoping to add to what is already a stunning total.

But his long-term future could depend on whether Leeds get promoted come the end of the campaign. Indeed, Lutsharel Geertruida, a former club and Netherlands U21 teammate, says Summerville could go.

He commented on Summerville’s Instagram post, predicting that Summerville could leave Elland Road “very quickly” when the summer comes around. He accompanied his comment with a fire emoji.
