Leeds United secured a 3-0 win over Plymouth Argyle on Saturday afternoon as Daniel Farke guided his side to second in the Championship table – handing out a few debuts along the way.
Goals from Dan James, Joel Piroe and Brenden Aaronson in a 10-minute first-half blitz was enough to secure three points with Leeds rarely getting out of second gear, and Plymouth failing to register a shot.
Such was the ease at which Leeds won seventh Championship win of the season, that boss Farke chose to hand out three debuts towards the end of the match. Notably, new signing Josuha Guilavogui came on.
Farke was impressed with Guilavogui and Sam Chambers, another debutant in the win against Plymouth. The latter of the three was 17-year-old Charlie Crew, who also clocked up his first outing for Leeds.

Charlie Crew delighted with Leeds debut and posts on Instagram
Tony Dorigo said in pre-season that Crew had a “great vision and awareness”, but the youngster has been made to wait for his debut. On a number of occasions last season, Crew found himself an unused sub.
He has even earned his first Wales cap, until Saturday when he finally got a chance to play for the first XI. He took to Instagram on the weekend, underlining his delight at making his debut for the Yorkshire side.
His caption read: “Special feeling to have made my Leeds United debut last night, hopefully more special memories to come at this place.”
Largie Ramazani among those to react to Charlie Crew’s debut
It was about time for Crew to get his debut for The Whites. A player that impressed in pre-season and has done so in training, too. The young midfielder has been more than deserving of his first outing for Leeds.
Plenty of Leeds players responded to Crew’s post on Instagram, including Largie Ramazani and fellow star Sam Chambers. Scott Godden, who left on a free in the summer, commenting with the word “finally”.

Crew is expected to be part of the traveling squad when Leeds go up against Millwall on Wednesday night in London, though the clash is likely to be a lot more difficult and a second appearance is unlikely.
