Spanish outlet La Provincia claims newly-promoted La Liga side Las Palmas have tabled a bid worth £1.3m for FC Midtjylland striker Sory Kaba – amid reports that Leeds, West Brom and other Championship clubs eye the Gambian.
Kaba, 28, starred for Cardiff after joining the Welsh side on loan from Midtjylland in January. Playing 17 times for Cardiff, he scored eight crucial goals to keep the Bluebirds in the Championship. Leeds face Cardiff on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Kaba has returned to Denmark with Midtjylland, where he has already opened his account for the year. UD Las Palmas.Net recently said Leeds, Watford and Cardiff were three of six Championship clubs interested in him.
The Express & Star say Carlos Corberan wants him at West Brom. But, a move to Spain is on the cards, too. Back in the top tier, Las Palmas are looking to strengthen their attack – and have signed ex-Everton striker Sandro Ramirez.
But they are not done. They also want Kaba, and have tabled a bid totalling £1.3m. An initial fee of £870,000, and £430,000 in add-ons. An offer that has been rejected by Midtjylland. They want a fee of at least £1.7m for Kaba.

Expect Las Palmas to quickly re-enter the market for Kaba, given their offer was only £400,000 off of Midtjylland’s asking price. So, Leeds and any other interested parties will have to move quickly to land the impressive striker.
In terms of spending big on a striker, why would you not sign Kaba? A player who has shown all the credentials that a striker costing big money will boast, but for a tiny fee. Low risk, but potentially, high reward. A no-brainer for many.
