West Brom manager Carlos Corberan is keen on signing a striker and The Express & Star claim the Spanish gaffer is looking to win the race to sign Sory Kaba – amid reports Leeds United also want the impressive Guinea international.
Kaba, 28, has caught the eye of Championship clubs after his half-season spell at Cardiff City last summer. The ace netted eight goals in 17 games for a Cardiff side that almost suffered relegation. He is back at his parent club now.
FC Midtjylland are open to his sale. The club’s sporting director recently said he would entertain offers if they came in for him. But then, Kaba scored in a UEFA Europa Conference League match – a 2-0 win over Progres Niederkorn.
A report recently from UD Las Palmas.Net claims six Championship clubs are interested in Kaba – including Leeds, Watford and Cardiff. Las Palmas, who have been promoted to La Liga, too. Now, the E&S say West Brom are keen.

Kaba is clearly a player that looks set for a return to England. Midtjylland are open to his exit and English clubs, with money to spend, are keen. His contract is due to expire at the end of next year. It means a sale is even more likely.
Leeds need Kaba. Leeds need a striker. Joel Piroe remains the one The 49ers want. But injuries to Patrick Bamford and Georginio Rutter has exacerbated the need for a no.9. Piroe is a tricky deal to do. Swansea are hard to deal with.
So why not bring in a striker that is proven in the Championship, has a bit of everything and is likely to be available on the cheap – given his contract situation? Kaba would be a solid addition for Leeds – or any other second-tier side.
