Leeds United are among the clubs reportedly looking at FC Midtjylland striker Sory Kaba and the Danish side’s sporting director Svend Graversen has spoken about the Gambian’s future – opening the door to potential offers.
Kaba, 27, spent the second half of last season on loan at Cardiff City, in which he scored eight goals in 17 games – helping Cardiff survive relegation. Of course, the Welsh side are our first opponents when the season restarts.
Now in the final 12 months of his contract at Midtjylland, and having spent the last six months out on loan with Cardiff – Kaba is likely to be on the market. UD Las Palmas.Net say Leeds are one of the front runners to sign him.
Cardiff and Watford are among six Championship clubs keen while newly-promoted Las Palmas have made a bid to bring him to Spain. So, interest is aplenty. Graversen responded when asked if Kaba will be leaving Midtjylland.
“While he is still here, it means that a match has not been found between us, him and other clubs yet,” Graversen told Danish outlet Bold. “You never know what happens in this world, but we are really happy with [Sory] Kaba.
“He still has a big impact and has scored in several difficult matches. If there isn’t a match, then there won’t be a match, and then we are really happy to have him,” Graversen continued, when asked if there could be a sale.

Leeds may feel they need another striker. Rodrigo has gone, Georginio Rutter looks set to be used in a wide role by Daniel Farke and Patrick Bamford cannot be relied upon to be the man to fire Leeds back into the Premier League.
Leeds need another body. Mateo Joseph and Joe Gelhardt can certainly be those players, but do Leeds need to consider bringing in another body? Kaba’s 1-in-2 ratio at a side that finished 21 is deeply impressive, at Cardiff.
