TalkSport pundits Jeff Stelling and Gabriel Agbonlahor are now in total agreement over whether Leeds United or West Ham will be relegated from the Premier League.
Daniel Farke changed the entire narrative around Leeds’ hopes of staying in the Premier League this week, as his side took four points from three of their most difficult games of the season.
Leeds’ upturn led Simon Grayson to joke that Farke’s side should be targeting Europe; however, the reality is that they have significantly boosted their chances of staying in the Premier League.
They have opened a slender gap on the bottom three in the competition, after West Ham could only manage two draws, including a heartbreaking last-minute equaliser to cost them a win against Brighton.
Now, Stelling and Agbonlahor have backed Leeds to stay in the league this season, as they look to build momentum after a positive week.
Leeds United backed to avoid Premier League relegation
Speaking on TalkSport Breakfast on the morning of 9th October, Stelling and Agbonlahor agreed that Leeds now looked likely to retain their Premier League status.
Agbonlahor had already changed his opinion on Leeds after the Chelsea game, and now believes Farke has ended any speculation over his future.
The former Aston Villa man said: “The players are with [Farke], the players are listening to him, their new tactics. So, Daniel Farke has done fantastically, and the talk of him losing his job is long gone.
Stelling said: “So I’m going to put my neck on the line and say for me, Leeds stay up.”
Asked if he was going to do the same, Agbonlahor agreed: “I am. I’m going to say West Ham go down.”

Daniel Farke will have to defy another negative prediction against Brentford
While two games at Elland Road have lifted the mood around Leeds and added more precious points to the Whites’ tally, Farke knows that he has to continue that momentum away from home.
Leeds have picked up just three points on the road this season so far and face a difficult away trip to face Brentford in their next game.

Lucas Radebe loved it!
The Bees have a superb home record this season and, according to Opta, that will count in their favour, with Keith Andrews’ side being made overwhelming favourites for the game.
Brentford have been handed a 59.5% chance of winning, with the draw rated as 21.2% and Leeds given just a 19.3% chance of claiming a win.
