Former Premier League striker Gabby Agbonlahor has been forced to rethink his prediction on Leeds United’s season after their famous Premier League win against Chelsea.
Daniel Farke rolled the dice and stuck with the 5-3-2 that worked so well in the second half of the defeat against Manchester City at the weekend.
The under-fire Leeds boss got the response he wanted from his side as Ao Tanaka scored the pick of the goals in a famous 3-1 win over Chelsea.
Chelsea were welcomed by a Leeds side – and an Elland Road crowd – that bristled with energy and intensity, and the visitors struggled to carve out many clear-cut chances against a well-organised Leeds side.
The result has now made pundit Gabby Agbonlahor rethink his prediction that Leeds will be relegated, having watched an impressive performance.

Gabby Agbonlahor changes Leeds United prediction
Speaking on TalkSport Breakfast on the morning of 4th December, Agbonlahor praised Leeds’ performance in front of a capacity home crowd.
Agbonlahor had previously predicted Leeds would go down. However, having watched the win against Chelsea, he believes they could drag West Ham into trouble in the coming weeks.
The former Villa striker said: “Are Leeds one of the favourites to get relegated this season? They are. But if they can make Elland Road a fortress like they did last night, and stand up to any team that comes. Don’t care if it’s Chelsea, no problem, Liverpool come there, no problem.
“Have a go, use that home fan base to your advantage; they’ve got every chance of staying up. I’ll tell you who needs to watch what they’re doing, that’s West Ham.”

He added: “For me, Leeds or West Ham are going to be the third team to get relegated, so it’s out of those two. I don’t see Forest. I feel like Forest are on a run now, they’re getting results.
“Fulham, Bournemouth, Brentford have got enough. Wolves, Burnley will be the bottom two, and it’s out of West Ham and Leeds.”

Opta now predict Leeds United will avoid relegation from Premier League
Not only has the win over Chelsea eased the pressure on Leeds boss Daniel Farke, but it has also handed Leeds a significant boost to their survival hopes.
Leeds ended a run of four consecutive defeats with the win, which had seen them become one of the favourites to be relegated from the Premier League.

However, according to the latest Opta forecast following the win over Chelsea, Leeds are now predicted to finish 17th in the table, with a predicted points total of 37.93.
West Ham are the principal victims of the latest model, with Opta now suggesting that they will finish in the bottom three, with 36.89 points.
