Talksport presenters Jeff Stelling and Gabby Agbonlahor are split over whether Leeds United or West Ham will be relegated from the Premier League.

Leeds United face a potentially season-defining run of fixtures when they return to Premier League action after the international break.

Daniel Farke needs to find a way to arrest his side’s alarming drop-off in form, which has seen them lose four of their last five games, conceding 11 goals in the process.

Leeds will need the Elland Road atmosphere to be at its most febrile when Aston Villa visit for the first game back after the break, as Farke looks to save his job at Leeds.

Now, Gabby Agbonlahor and Jeff Stelling have delivered a mixed outlook on Leeds’ survival hopes, as the Whites look to rebuild their cushion on the bottom three.

Pundits split over Leeds United’s Premier League survival hopes

Speaking on TalkSport Breakfast on the morning of 17th November, Stelling and Agbonlahor delivered their split verdict on Leeds’ survival hopes.

Agbonlahor was not optimistic about Leeds’ survival hopes. Asked who he thought would be relegated, Agbonlahor said: “Wolverhampton Wanderers.

“And I do think, Jeff, as sad as it sounds, I do think it will be Burnley and Leeds, just for the lack of quality compared to West Ham and Nottingham Forest.”

However, Stelling was more optimistic about Leeds’ survival chances. Although he named them in his list of sides that are in trouble, he believes they could still avoid relegation.

He said: “I think that Wolves will go. I think that their fans will accept that. I think that Burnley will go. And Leeds or West Ham.”

Before adding: “I think as it is right now… I don’t think [West Ham] have got anywhere near enough. I think Nuno’s done the right thing by putting people like Freddie Potts in the side.

“But I still feel, you know, and I really love the fact that finally Callum Wilson started a game up front. And what a difference he made.”

How do Leeds United’s next five fixtures compare to West Ham

Leeds’ difficult run of fixtures is well-documented, as they stare down the barrel of games against Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool in the coming weeks.

However, Farke can take some comfort from the fact that their chief relegation rivals, West Ham, do not have a straightforward run of games either.

West Ham face a tricky trip to Bournemouth before hosting Liverpool at the London Stadium. This is then followed by away games against Manchester United and Brighton, in a run of five games which ends with a home game against Aston Villa.

All five of those teams are currently above the Hammers in the table, which should provide some relief to Leeds United fans who are anxiously scanning the fixture list.
