Hull City manager Liam Rosenior has been speaking about Leeds United’s top of the table clash with Leicester City tomorrow.
The Championship’s top two will go head-to-head under the lights at Elland Road in what is arguably the biggest game of the season so far for both teams.
Leicester currently occupy top spot and have a nice nine-point gap to Leeds in second place, but know a defeat could see them dragged back into the race for automatics, considering the form of those behind.
The standard from all four teams at the top is something that has never been seen before at this level, and it would be a huge surprise if they didn’t all surpass the 90-point mark, at the very least.
Speaking on talkSPORT this morning ahead of the game, Rosenior spoke highly of both teams and says he is very much looking forward to watching the match on Friday night.
Rosenior excited for Leeds vs Leicester clash
He said: “I’ll be watching. Two massive clubs. Two great teams. Two very, very good managers. It will be a top game in terms of the level. I think some of the football the teams are producing this year has been outstanding. I for one will be watching that game and enjoying it.”
Leeds got the better of Leicester in the return fixture back in November, and it has to be said, that it was one of the highest quality matches the Championship has ever seen.
Leicester have, of course, been the division’s pace-setters pretty much from the first whistle this term, but Leeds are the form side having won an impressive eight league matches in a row.
This match has very much been the talk of the week in the Championship, with Ipswich Town’s Conor Chaplin having been asked who he believes are the better side, on the same radio show.
Hopefully Leeds are able to replicate the performance they produced in the away match at the King Power, as three points would be hugely significant in the race for top two.
