Despite the 3-0 win at Peterborough United in the FA Cup, Daniel Farke is likely to make some changes to his Leeds United side tomorrow.
Farke made seven alterations from Leeds’ last league outing against Birmingham City on New Year’s Day, and it would not be a surprise if the team has a similar look to it at Cardiff City.
Georginio Rutter, Crysencio Summerville and Dan James are among those who could come back into the side, though there is already one position where Farke has guaranteed a start.
Due to Illan Meslier’s suspension and Karl Darlow’s untimely injury, Kristoffer Klaesson has started each of Leeds’ last two matches in all competitions, producing a couple of solid displays.
And while Farke was full of praise for Klaesson last week, he confirmed in his press conference yesterday afternoon that Meslier will be coming straight back into the side tomorrow.

He said: “Illan [Meslier] is thank god, back, and he will return back to the goal if nothing major happens in the next training session.”
This is most definitely an expected decision, although some may consider it a little harsh given that Klaesson has not put a foot wrong in either of the two matches.
In fact, pundit Jon Newsome actually believes Klaesson is a better distributor of the ball than Meslier, and so the latter has something to prove upon his return to the side.
Ultimately, Meslier cost Leeds a draw, if not a win, following his stupid red card in the defeat at Preston North End on Boxing Day, and so the pressure will be on his shoulders.
Hopefully he can pick up where Klaesson left off and secure a third consecutive clean sheet for Leeds, and help arrest the Whites’ poor recent run of results on the road.
