Peterborough United chairman Darragh MacAnthony has given his prediction on whether Leeds United will win the Championship title.
Leicester City, as they have all season, currently occupy top spot in the table having amassed an impressive 81 points from 36 matches.
However, the Foxes have faltered as of late and were perhaps a little fortunate to escape from Sunderland with a 1-0 win on Tuesday night, which ended a run of three consecutive defeats.
Leicester had been 17 points clear of Leeds at the turn of the New Year but have now very much been sucked into the battle just for a top two spot, with Ipswich Town currently second on 78 points.
Speaking on the latest episode of the ‘Hard Truth Podcast‘, MacAnthony has tipped Leeds to pip Leicester to the title providing they can stay fully fit for the rest of the season.

He said: “Leeds if they are fully fit will be strong. I don’t think Leicester will win the league. I was going to say I think Leeds will win the league.”
Given the standard that has been set at the top of the Championship this season, Leeds will not care whether they finish first or second. It is just all about promotion.
As Ipswich boss Kieran McKenna said on Tuesday night, if Leeds were too fixated on the table they would probably feel disappointed, as a tally of 76 points in 36 matches would be enough to be well clear in most seasons.
However, it is certainly positive for Leeds that Leicester have been dragged into it, as it is now four teams playing for two spots, rather than three for one.
With Southampton still having to play both Ipswich and Leicester away from home before the final day, Leeds will hopefully use that to their advantage and put themselves in a strong position.
