Leeds United’s pursuit of promotion reaches a 14th chapter on Wednesday night as The Whites go to Millwall to take on Neil Harris’ in-form side at The Den.
Daniel Farke’s side are in great shape despite losing the play-off final last season. The Whites sit in third place in the Championship table after last night’s result, but can go top with a win at Neil Harris’ side.
Seven wins and eight clean sheets from 13 games, unbeaten in seven and a team looking incredibly well-balanced. Leeds are in good touch and in with a strong shout of achieving Farke’s third promotion.
Approaching a third of the way through the season, continuing in this fashion will surely see Leeds gain promotion at the second attempt – with Leeds already two points better off at this stage than 2019-20.

Alex Neil thinks Leeds United will be promoted this season
Alex Neil won promotion as Norwich manager via the play-offs, before Farke arrived at Carrow Road as boss. He beat Middlesbrough in the final to win 2-0, with Brentford and Ipswich beaten in the semi-finals.
Neil has gone on to manage the likes of Preston, Sunderland and Stoke and has a wealth of experience at this level. Speaking on Sky Sports News, Neil backed Leeds to finish in the top two places this season.
“Leeds will be one of the two teams that go up automatically. I just think they’ve got more consistency. I think now they’re starting to hit their stride and I think they’ll go on and be very strong this season.”

Alex Neil also full of praise for his Norwich successor Farke
Indeed, Farke replaced Neil at Norwich in 2017 and went on to spend four years at Carrow Road. Farke won the Championship twice while suffering relegation from the Premier League, and is now at Leeds.
Despite the possibility of a rivalry between Neil and Farke, the former heaped praise on the German boss for his work at Leeds despite losing the likes of Crysencio Summerville, Georginio Rutter and Archie Gray.
“Daniel’s had two disruptive summers, it was disruptive at the start of last season and the same this year, losing Summerville, Rutter and Gray which were big players. He deserves a huge amount of credit.”
