Leeds United fans will want to hear this story, as one of England’s greatest strikers was close to a move to Elland Road.
It would no doubt make for an immaculate signing now, but it seems like there is a very low chance of that happening, well you’d think that anyway.
But Kane adds to the list of major players to miss out on a move to Leeds.
Of course now the 49ers want Premier League players as they prepare for a return to the top flight, but there is still a job left to do.
If Kane had signed, his career could’ve turned a whole lot different and Leeds might find themselves in a very interesting position.

Harry Kane almost joined Leeds United as Daniel Levy gave the green light
Despite never joining, the striker could help the Whites with a move as Leeds target Nico Elvedi struggles against Kane with Bayern Munich on top in Germany.
But Leeds could’ve been the top club in England once again after so many years had the experienced striker signed from Tottenham in 2014.
It was revealed via The Mirror by former Spurs scout David Magrone that there was only one obstacle in the way of Kane joining Leeds after chairman Daniel Levy gave the green light.
“There was serious consideration among the hierarchy at the club to letting him go to Leeds because he’d been out on loan and had never really set the world on fire,” said Magrone.
“But Tim [Sherwood] knew he was a Premier League player in the making, and really didn’t want to let him go, even if the chairman possibly did.
“It was really only Harry’s desire to dig and prove himself at the top level and Tim’s belief in him that stopped him going (when the offer came in).”

Leeds wouldn’t have got the same Kane if he had joined
It’s unknown what would have happened with the striker’s career had he opted for the move to Yorkshire, but it was clear that Kane was struggling at the time.
Before his breakthrough at Spurs, Kane endured four loan spells and never kicked on so how would a permanent move to Leeds have unlocked Kane.
Another reason why it probably wouldn’t have made Kane is that it wasn’t great timing for the club, with financial issues surrounding Massimo Cellino, as Cellino was having an ‘absolute shambles’ at Leeds.
Kane joining would’ve only hindered his career, but you can’t stop Whites fans from dreaming that one day it could happen.
