Wayne Rooney’s side won 2-1. Drameh did not start the match, but the full-back came on as a substitute in the 78th minute.

The 21-year-old, who is on loan at Birmingham from Leeds at the moment, played one key pass, had a pass accuracy of 66.7%, won one header, took 17 touches, and made one tackle and one interception.

BirminghamLive gave Drameh 6 out of 10 for his performance and noted: “Drameh was unfortunate to lose his place after impressing in Rooney’s first five games. He was solid after coming in for Buchanan for the closing stages.”

Cody Drameh may not play for Leeds United again

There is a very good chance that Cody Drameh will not play for Leeds United again. It will be interesting to see what the full-back, who is doing well at Birmingham City, does regarding his future at the end of the season.

According to The Athletic, the 21-year-old full-back “has no intention of actually taking up a fresh deal at Elland Road having struggled for game time”.

Drameh is out of contract at Leeds in the summer of 2024. The West Yorkshire club will offer him “an extension on his existing terms”. This is to make sure that Leeds get a compensation fee.

The Athletic has noted that Birmingham have the option to sign Drameh on a permanent contract next summer.

So, it seems that Leeds will offer Drameh a contract extension, which he will turn down and leave, and Birmingham will have to pay the Whites a compensation fee if they want to make his deal permanent.
