It has been some week for Harry Gray. All in the space of a week, the latest off the Gray conveyor belt made his Leeds United debut and celebrated promotion as if he was a regular.
Towards the latter stages of the 6-0 win over Stoke City, the day in which Leeds confirmed promotion as Sheffield United lost to Burnley, Gray remarkably became the fifth family member to play for Leeds.
Following in the footsteps of great uncle Eddie, grandfather Frank, dad Andy and brother Archie, Harry ran on to the pitch, unable to prevent a beaming smile as Eddie shed happy tears in the directors box.
He was on the bench for the 4-0 win over Bristol City, but remained unused and will be hoping he can get a second senior outing when Leeds face Plymouth on Saturday with the Championship title on the line.

Harry Gray has message for Daniel Farke over game time
Gray scored the winner on Tuesday night as Leeds’ U21 side held aloft the National League Cup with a 2-1 win over Sutton United. Diogo Monteiro gave Leeds the lead, followed by a 56th-minute Gray winner.
Speaking after the game, Gray reflected on a brilliant week having made his first-team breakthrough, celebrating promotion by dangling from the crossbar and then scoring the winner for the 21’s last night.
“Yeah, I’m enjoying it,” Gray told LUTV if he is on cloud nine. “It’s been a good week to be honest. I just want more, I want to keep scoring goals but hopefully in the first team next year, prove myself.”

Harry Gray’s debut has been a long time coming, even at 16
Last summer, with Archie’s younger brother still only 15, Farke included Gray as one of six youngsters to fly to Germany for pre-season. It saw him travel along with the likes of Luca Thomas and Rory Mahady.
But injury prevented Gray from making any progress in the first half of the season. He has since scored goals for the 21’s having been in training with the first team and finally, got his debut against Stoke.
There have been plenty of suggestions that Leeds’ no.45 could outdo Archie in terms of quality and potential – but time will tell. Certainly, if he can be an asset in the Premier League, it only helps Leeds.
