The six Leeds youngsters flying to Germany as Daniel Farke considers the next generation

Leeds United have posted a video of the squad boarding a plane to Germany ahead of a summer training camp in Daniel Farke’s home country, with six youngsters included.

It is the first time Max Wober has been spotted wearing the Leeds badge since his departure to Gladbach on loan last summer. The Austrian’s future had been in doubt until last Friday, after the win at Harrogate.

Farke confirmed after the 3-0 victory that Wober would return to the Leeds fold like Brenden Aaronson, and both Aaronson and Wober were seen boarding the plane in the two-minute clip posted by Leeds.

But alongside Wober, Aaronson and the rest of the Leeds squad including new signings Joe Rodon, Alex Cairns and Joe Rothwell, there were six youngsters that have been called-up by manager Farke to fly.

The win over Harrogate gave an inkling as to which young players would travel. Sam Chambers of course, got his name on the score sheet after a brilliant run from Joe Gelhardt saw him shoot and score a third.

Charlie Crew really impressed in the middle of the park and the Wales star also boarded the plane along with Chambers, while goalkeeper Harry Christy and striker Luca Thomas were the first two to board.

Archie Gray’s younger brother Harry, still only 15, was also seen climbing the steps ahead of the trip to Germany. Impressive defender James Debayo, who started at Harrogate, was also in attendance.

Other notable inclusions and absentees from Leeds video

Patrick Bamford boarded the plan despite not featuring in first-team training much so far as he looks to recover from an injury, with the Leeds medical department carefully increasing his load, step by step.

The England striker was not part of the squad that beat Harrogate but is sure to get some minutes in the two friendlies Leeds will play in Germany. Junior Firpo was also among the players boarding the plane.

Left-back Firpo has been strongly linked with Real Betis and a possible reunion with Marc Roca and Diego Llorente, but he is now in Germany. New signing Jayden Bogle will join up with the squad, later on.
