Like Brenden Aaronson, Max Wober looks set to rejoin Leeds United’s squad ahead of the 2024-25 season but had not been spotted back at Elland Road following his exploits at Euro 2024.
The future of all eight players to use Victor Orta’s loan clause though appears to be sorted. Marc Roca and Diego Llorente have joined Real Betis permanently, after Robin Koch moved to Frankfurt on a free.
Luis Sinisterra has gone to Bournemouth permanently, while Jack Harrison is back at Everton on loan for a second season. Rasmus Kristensen has reunited with Koch at Frankfurt, a move which happened quickly.
The Dane will be hoping for more luck in Germany than he got at Roma alongside Llorente. That leaves Aaronson and Wober, with USA star Aaronson confirming he will play a part for Leeds during 2024-25.

Max Wober spotted in Leeds training kit for the first time
Wober, 26, only joined Leeds in January 2023 but after 20 appearances and relegation, he was off again. One that angered Leeds fans largely because Wober had been expected to stay at Elland Road last term.
But as soon as Gladbach came calling, he was off. Wober cited his need to play top-tier football to solidify his place in Austria’s squad for Euro 2024, which did help as Ralf Rangnick’s side impressed in Germany.
However, Leeds’ asking price proved too much for Wober even if The Whites reduced their demands. Now, he is seen spotted wearing Leeds training kit as the players board a plane to Germany this morning.
What Daniel Farke said about Wober after win over Harrogate
Aaronson was in attendance on Friday but Wober was not, and that suggested that perhaps Wober was not to be considered a Leeds player by Farke for the upcoming campaign but that is clearly not the case.
Perhaps, Aaronson’s lack of minutes at Copa America saw him return earlier than Wober who was a key part of Austria’s climb to the last 16 at Euro 2024. Farke spoke after the win over Harrogate, on Wober.
He said: “We will have the guys back with Brenden Aaronson and Max Wober. Max arrives tomorrow and start testing. Hopefully from Sunday with us in the first team. It is important to have these lads back.”
