Aside from the glory of securing automatic promotion back to the Premier League and the enormity of a 6-0 win over Stoke City, there was another reason for Leeds United fans to celebrate on Monday.
At the second time of asking, Daniel Farke has guided Leeds back into the Premier League. Two games to spare, The Whites now sit eight points ahead of Sheffield United after a 6-0 win over Stoke at Elland Road.
Sheffield United needed to match Leeds’ result but suffered a fourth defeat in five games, losing to rivals Burnley. Scott Parker’s men also confirmed their place in the Premier League with the huge 2-1 victory.
Confirmation that Leeds had gone up sparked mass party at Elland Road, with fans packed outside the ground to see their Leeds heroes. But, there was another reason for Leeds fans to rejoice – in Harry Gray.

Harry Gray posts on Instagram after making Leeds United debut
The fifth member of the Gray family to play for Leeds, 16-year-old attacker Gray came off the bench for The Whites late on against Stoke. Wearing the no.45 shirt, Eddie Gray shed a tear as Harry came on.
The talent was beaming from ear to ear as he ran onto the Elland Road pitch. Following promotion, the teenager was seen starting songs with supporters and even Archie Gray sent brother Harry a message.
Now, the Thorp Arch talent has posted a message of his own. He said making his debut was a “special” moment and thanked Farke for allowing him to become the latest off the conveyor belt as a Gray.
“Special moment for me to make my debut for my team, but an even better day for the club. Thank you to the boss and staff for this opportunity. You fans deserve this more than anyone. Enjoy,” Gray said.
Harry Gray could get more game time in the next two matches
Having followed in grandfather Frank, great uncle Eddie, father Andy and brother Archie’s footsteps, Harry will be desperate to get a second taste of first-team football with two more games left to play.
Leeds host Bristol City next Monday, before going to Plymouth Argyle on May 3. The games are not meaningless, given the Yorkshire side will be hell-bent on winning the Championship title this term.
If Leeds do win both games, then the title is theirs and Farke wins a third Championship title. But they come up against two sides fighting for something – and Gray will be hoping he can get more minutes.
