Gabriel Agbonlahor has now shared the reason why he does not want Leeds United to get promoted to the Premier League.
The former Aston Villa striker has already admitted that he would like to see Ipswich Town beat both Leeds and Southampton to a place in the top two, but has now shared why.
Leicester City and Ipswich currently occupy the Championship’s automatic promotion places with Leeds sitting not too far behind. The Whites are five adrift of the former, and just two of the latter.
Despite Ipswich being in second, there is still a decent chance that all three relegated sides secure an immediate return to the top-flight, a scenario which Jamie Carragher sees happening.
However, speaking on talkSPORT this morning, Agbonlahor says he does not want to see Leeds promoted as they have already had ‘their chance’, playing ‘suicidal’ football under Marcelo Bielsa.

He said: “I want Ipswich to come up, I feel like the story they’ve been on, to get double promotions, two seasons in a row would be outstanding.
“Leeds had their chance, yes they were entertaining but some of the games they played in were suicide under Bielsa. Imagine Ipswich in the Premier League.”
Several pundits from across the footballing world have been giving their opinions on the race recently, and it isn’t a surprise that Agbonlahor is the only one so far to back against Leeds.
Danny Murphy says he would love to see Leeds back in the Premier League, while Simon Jordan is also of the opinion that he would prefer the Whites to be promoted ahead of everyone else.
One thing is for sure is that it is going to be a very intense race with plenty of twists and turns to come before the end of the season.
