EFL expert makes interesting prediction for Stoke City vs Leeds United

Leeds United are in action at Stoke City on Boxing Day, in what is a real banana skin of a game for the Whites.

Daniel Farke’s side go into Boxing Day in 2nd place of the Championship table after his Leeds United thumped Oxford United last time out.

The Whites have lost just one of their last eight in the Championship, winning six, whilst Stoke City are down in 19th and without a win in their last eight.

Last season though, Stoke City beat Leeds United 1-0 at the bet365 Stadium and so Farke will hope to avoid a repeat.

Though with Leeds’ away form having been very mixed this season, their upcoming trip to Stoke City will certainly prove tricky.

Sam Parkin shares Stoke City vs Leeds United score prediction

Speaking on the Championship Check-In podcast, EFL expert and Sky Sports commentator Sam Parkin has shared his score prediction for Leeds’ game at Stoke.

He’s highlighted the Potters’ poor form under new boss Narcis Pelach who’s won just three of his 18 games in charge, following his September appointment

Parkin said: “On the face of it, there’s not been a great degree of improvement, has there. So I can’t go against a Leeds away win.

“I’ll go more narrow though.” Parkin has predicted Leeds United to beat Stoke City 1-0.”

Did Sam Parkin correctly predict Leeds United’s win over Oxford United?

Parkin is never too far off with his Championship predictions and so Leeds to beat Stoke City 1-0 could well be the final scoreline on Boxing Day.

And fans may be intrigued to know that Parkin’s Leeds United and Oxford score prediction was spot on, with Parkin predicting a 4-0 win before the game.

Daniel Farke’s record against Stoke City

Leeds boss Farke has already faced Stoke City six times in his career as manager, with two last season being his first two in charge of Leeds United.

Last time round, Leeds beat Stoke at Elland Road but lost at the bet365, with both scorelines being 1-0.

So far in his career, Farke has three wins from six games against the Potters, with a record of two wins, one draw, and one loss as Norwich City manager.

For Pelach meanwhile, it’s a first game against Leeds as a manager. And with his team in dire form and slipping towards the bottom three, he’ll really not want to go up against a Leeds side who’ve just blown away Oxford.
