Leeds United return to action after the international break with a trip to Rotherham United.

The Whites will be looking to make it four Championship wins in a row when they travel to South Yorkshire, having beaten Huddersfield Town, Leicester City and Plymouth Argyle before the break.

Daniel Farke will have some tough selection decisions to make for the game, as he welcomes back players from injury, and navigates a short turnaround from international matches with the fixture being on the Friday.

Rotherham, meanwhile, will be playing their first game following the departure of Matt Taylor as their manager earlier this week.

Here is an early look at our predicted Leeds XI for the game.

Goalkeeper

One of those not on international duty Illan Meslier continues in goal.

Defence

Djed Spence could well comeback into the squad for the first time since his knee injury, but it appears unlikely he will be thrown straight in from the start. Archie Gray gets the nod at right-back, providing he comes through England U19s’ matches unscathed.

Sam Byram is expected to miss the match meaning Junior Firpo starts for the first time this season, having made his return from the bench last time out.

It is unclear whether Pascal Struijk will be fit following his hernia surgery, but Farke will not want to rush him back. Liam Cooper and Joe Rodon therefore keep their place, again providing they comeback fit from internationals.

Midfield

All of Leeds’ midfield options are away with their respective nations but Ethan Ampadu and Glen Kamara appear likely to continue their partnership.

Attack

Crysencio Summerville and Joel Piroe will be fresh and ready for the game having not been selected to represent Netherlands.

Dan James and Georginio Rutter are likely to make up the remainder of the front four for the third match in a row, again providing there are no injury concerns following international duty.

Predicted XI: Meslier; Gray, Rodon, Cooper, Firpo; Ampadu, Kamara; James, Piroe, Summerville; Rutter
