Leeds United secured a narrow 1-0 win over Harrogate Town on Saturday evening in the third round of The FA Cup and focus now switches back to the Championship.
It’s nine games unbeaten for Leeds now, as Manor Solomon’s cross was headed into the back of the net by Largie Ramazani. The summer signing’s fourth goal of the season, scoring surprisingly with a header.
Leeds were far from their best but they got the job done without conceding a goal, in a game which Karl Darlow replaced the under-fire Illan Mesler. Some shaky moments, but Darlow did what was required.
So Leeds are in the hat for the fourth round of The FA Cup but what has been a breather for the Leeds players over the last week, pressure is back on as the race for automatic promotion is back on the radar.

Daniel Farke shares if Joel Piroe will be fit for Sunday clash
Leeds host Sheffield Wednesday on Sunday, with the Championship campaign back with a bang in the form of a Yorkshire derby at Elland Road. Joel Piroe was missing against Harrogate, due to muscle issues.
Daniel Farke confirmed before the game that Piroe would be missing alongside Patrick Bamford and Max Wober. Asked if £16m man Piroe would be fit to face Sheffield Wednesday on Sunday, Farke is hopeful.
Piroe has had a hand in 15 goals and assists this term, scoring 10 and is Leeds’ top scorer. Farke said Piroe will be in training from Thursday: “He had a little muscle injury. I hope Thursday latest he will be back.”

Joel Piroe’s importance is now crucial in Leeds United run-in
The next six months will be the most-important of Piroe’s spell at Leeds. In his first season at the club, Piroe was not the main man with Georginio Rutter, Crysencio Summerville and others shining instead.
But this season he has come back into the side over Mateo Joseph and now, with Farke expecting a quiet window, the goalscoring aspect of this Leeds team falls on Piroe over the course of the next six months.
Farke said Piroe is the Championship’s best finisher and Leeds will need that over the course of the next 20 matches, as Leeds push to finish in the top two ahead of the likes of Sheffield United and Burnley.
