Largie Ramazani’s arrival at Elland Road in the summer caused a frenzy of hype on social media, with the Belgian considered to be Crysencio Summerville’s replacement at Leeds United.
Summerville was one of four big sales in the summer, joining Archie Gray, Georginio Rutter and Glen Kamara in departing Elland Road. He has joined West Ham, scoring just one goal since his exit for London.
Ramazani was bought for £10m from Almeria. Daniel Farke said it would be unfair on Ramazani to place the pressure of replacing last season’s Championship Player of the Season on Ramazani’s shoulders.
Since then, Ramazani has scored three goals and laid on an assist for Leeds, before picking up an injury against Watford – moments after scoring the opening during the 2-1 victory at Elland Road last month.
Daniel Farke says no-one believed in Largie Ramazani
Speaking on Monday ahead of Wednesday night’s clash with Ramazani back in the Leeds squad as an unused sub against Swansea on Sunday, Farke said that no-one believed in Ramazani apart from Leeds.
“Largie Ramazani, well we knew him from the youth level here but no English club ever wanted him. He was just relegated in Spain, the second half of last season he was suspended with yellow and red cards.
“No-one really believed in his quality, but we have made him a really good player. With some bargains, we are trying to build a really strong team and at the moment, we are better in statistics than last season.”
Ramazani has Leeds’ second-best involvement ratio in final third
Ramazani might only have four involvements compared to Wilfried Gnonto and Joel Piroe’s eight, but he has the second-best ratio of a goal or an assist per minute given he’s been injured and not played much.

It will be interesting to see what Farke does when all four wingers are fit and at the top of their game. Of the four wingers, only Dan James can really say he is playing at his best at this current moment in time.
