Daniel Farke’s side have picked up four points in away trips at Millwall and Hull City this week, but Wednesday night’s events should encourage the Leeds boss to make changes.
Wilfried Gnonto looks unlikely to be fit to face the Hornets after limping off injured with a knock to his ankle, which will open the door for a spot on the wing.
Crysencio Summerville is almost certain to take one of those after his excellent display at Hull, while Dan James was also handed a start at the MKM Stadium.
Leeds should hand Anthony full debut on Saturday
However, James failed to have any sort of impact on the game in midweek, with some poor decision making in the final third often the cause of some attacks to break down.
With that in mind, it is now time for Farke to hand Jaidon Anthony his full debut for Leeds after his deadline day move from Bournemouth.
Anthony was a second-half substitute in the two games this week but came on in difficult circumstances at Hull after Leeds were reduced to 10 men.
It is likely that Summerville will be handed a start on the right meaning Anthony’s favoured left-wing role will be open, and it feels like the perfect chance to unleash him.
Anthony can offer Leeds a different sort of dynamic to Farke’s other wingers and his passing ability could be what’s needed to unlock packed defences at Elland Road.
