Daniel Farke has now told Leeds what players he wants this summer

Daniel Farke has told Leeds United he is keen to bring in some players he has worked with in the past.

That is according to Mail+, who report Farke is eyeing potential additions of players he knows well, as he looks to get to work on bolstering his squad this summer.

Farke has been in charge at Elland Road for almost a week now but Leeds are still yet to make any concrete moves in the transfer market, with just 26 days until their season opener against Cardiff City.

The 46-year-old will lead his new side into their first match of pre-season tomorrow against Manchester United, having had less than a week on the training field.

Leeds have already lost five players this summer and with many set to follow, it is time the Whites start making some moves of their own to replace them.

Farke tells Leeds what players he wants this summer

Farke is said to have held a meeting with Leeds recruitment staff last Wednesday less than 24 hours after his appointment.

It appears as though in those discussions, Farke has made it clear he would like to bring in some players he is familiar with, which could help the squad adapt quicker to his methods.

Farke has already admitted Leeds could be in for a bumpy start to the season given how the summer has so far panned out, and so signing players who are perhaps already accustomed to his tactics, could be a smart move.

However, Leeds did something very similar last summer when Jesse Marsch was in charge, with several of the club’s signings having worked with him in the past.

Ultimately that was an approach that did not work out, with Marsch sacked in February and several of the additions from 12 months ago ready to leave.
