Leeds United are on great form at the moment but there is one worry, and that is the fact that star player Crysencio Summerville is very close to a suspension.
Leeds won their last Championship game and it was a huge statement of intent as they beat league leaders Leicester City 1-0. The win was made even better by the fact that it was away from home.
Manager Daniel Farke is bringing the feel-good factor back to Leeds after being appointed in the summer and the club are now one of the favourites for promotion.
There is one worry and that’s the fact that Crysencio Summerville is close to picking up a suspension in the Championship and he could miss a vital fixture if he picks this yellow card up soon.

Leeds star Crysencio Summerville close to Championship suspension
Summerville has been a great attacker this season and this has seen him attract a lot of interest from Premier League clubs. Leeds may have a hard job of keeping Summerville in the January transfer window.
The 22 year-old is the top goalscorer at Leeds this season with six goals and he also has four assists this campaign.
Leeds have some big fixtures coming up against Rotherham, Swansea, Middlesbrough and Blackburn. If Summerville picks up a yellow card in Leeds’ next game against Plymouth ,or in a future match, then he would pick up a suspension in the division.
How many yellow cards before suspension in the Championship?
For those who do not know, players who pick up five yellow cards in their first 19 Championship matches will receive a one-match suspension. We are 15 games into the 2023/24 season. Summerville is on four yellow cards, so if he picks up one more over the next couple of matches then he will be suspended for one match.

Summerville is an ‘exceptional‘ player with lots of potential, and that is proven by the fact that he is the top goalscorer for the club in such a hard division.
Leeds do have squad depth, but to see one of their stars suspended for a match will have a big impact. They would like to think they can win without him, but if he misses a big match this may not be the case.
