Former Leeds United forward Crysencio Summerville has named the moment in his career that beats any other Premier League experience to date.

Crysencio Summerville took the first steps of his Premier League career with Leeds when he broke into the first team in the 2022/23 season.

The Dutch winger enjoyed a dream introduction to the team after being selected by Jesse Marsch, scoring the winner at Anfield before repeating the trick in a dramatic victory against Bournemouth in the same week.

After relegation, Summerville was one of Leeds’ most important players in the Championship, scoring 20 goals as Leeds failed to bounce back at the first time of asking.

His Championship form earned him a move back to the top flight with West Ham. However, one Leeds moment remains his favourite footballing memory to this day.

Crysencio Summerville names Leeds United moment as career highlight

Summerville only scored four Premier League goals as Leeds were relegated in 2023, and they all arrived in a remarkable month.

The former Leeds man came off the bench to score a late consolation goal in a 3-2 defeat away at Fulham before scoring his famous winner at Anfield.

He followed that goal with the winner against Bournemouth, alongside registering an assist, before grabbing his fourth consecutive goal in a 4-3 loss against Tottenham before the season broke for the World Cup.

However, speaking to the Premier League’s YouTube channel, Summerville admitted that nothing has come close to the goal against Liverpool.

Asked what his favourite Premier League moment to date is, Summerville said: “My goal against Liverpool.

“My last-minute winner, the winner, it was three hours before my 21st birthday, it couldn’t be better.”

Former Leeds man is yet to match his 22/23 Premier League goal tally

Summerville is now back in the Premier League with West Ham, but he has yet to match his goal tally from the 2022/23 season, having been handed his debut by Marcelo Bielsa the season before.

The Dutch winger found the net just once for West Ham last season, as he played 19 times in the team that finished 14th under Julen Lopetegui and subsequently Graham Potter.

Summerville has played five times for the Hammers so far this season, failing to find the net. However, he has registered two assists.

With a game against Leeds looming on the horizon after the international break, Leeds will hope that does not change until after the two sides meet.
