Crysencio Summerville scored his first goal for West Ham United last month but it has been a slow start in truth for the pocket-sized Dutchman in London, since leaving Leeds United.
Comparing his progress to Georginio Rutter at Brighton, Summerville is yet to get going. Just one goal in 12 appearances, starting only five matches under Julen Lopetegui who finds himself under huge pressure.
Rutter meanwhile, has started eight Premier League matches in a row for Brighton under Fabian Hurtzeler. He’s scored two goals and created two more, combining well with Danny Welbeck in attack for Brighton.
Summerville has now broken into the starting line-up but he has a long way to go before he can prove his initial £25m fee, which could reach £34m if Summerville’s reaches certain milestones at West Ham.

A player that won the Championship’s Player of the Season award last season, Summerville had a hand in 29 Championship goals. But it was not enough to get Leeds promoted and it saw Summerville move on.
Another player to leave Leeds was Stuart Dallas, who decided to retire after his long-term knee injury, he told Ben Foster’s YouTube that it “hasn’t really happened” for Summerville since his move to West Ham.
“Whenever I have seen him running, I was watching him, and I was thinking, he started jogging and I thought, typical, and then he just took off. I don’t know if you have seen it, the sliding tackle, at the end.
“Fair play to him. But, yeah, he’s a big signing for them as well and it hasn’t really happened for him. I think the Man United game where he scored, sort of taken off, but…” Dallas said, discussing Summerville.

Eight players left Leeds in permanent sales in the summer, with Kris Klaesson the other not mentioned below as he’s yet to play for new side AGF Aarhus. Klaesson left for Rakow, before moving to Denmark.

Interestingly, Llorente and Roca are in the best form having left Leeds for a combined £6m in the summer – after being bought by Leeds for a total of £28m. Archie Gray is in and out of the Spurs side currently.
French media have been scathing over Kamara’s performances for Rennes, while Cresswell is improving and has played every minute of Toulouse’s run of three wins in a row. Summerville needs to improve.
