Former Premier League striker Chris Sutton has praised Daniel Farke for turning around Leeds United’s season ahead of their game against Brentford.
Just over two weeks ago, Daniel Farke was under serious pressure at Leeds, as his side had lost four games in a row and slipped into the bottom three.
However, three games and four points later, Leeds can afford to be more optimistic about their chances of securing Premier League survival this season.
Farke will be hoping to welcome back star striker Lukas Nmecha for the game, as Leeds look to continue their recent resurgence. However, Sutton is not optimistic about their chances, despite his praise for the Leeds boss.

Chris Sutton delivers Brentford v Leeds United prediction
Speaking to BBC Sport, Sutton explained why he believes that Farke will avoid the fate he suffered at Norwich when he left his last managerial role in the Premier League.
Norwich won at Brentford in Farke’s final game in charge, before he was dismissed. However, Sutton believes Leeds will lose in London this weekend, but Farke will retain his position at Elland Road.
Sutton said: “I am so pleased for Leeds boss Daniel Farke because I was fed up with the rubbish being talked about how he cannot manage in the Premier League.
“Leeds have had a tough run of games against Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool, and it felt like there were people out there who were waiting and even wishing for Farke to fail, so he would be sacked.”
Before concluding: “I remember Farke’s last game as Norwich manager in November 2021, when his team beat Brentford, but he was sacked a few hours later. This time, I am backing Brentford to win, but Farke’s future should not be in doubt.”

What happened in Daniel Farke’s last game as Norwich manager?
Leeds have not won at Brentford since Raphinha scored as the Whites secured safety under Jesse Marsch at the end of the 2021/22 season, which is also their last win in London.
Farke had started that season as the Norwich manager, taking the Canaries to the Premier League for the second time, having been relegated in the 2019/20 season.
The now Leeds boss did not have a happy time in the top flight, and his time with the club eventually came to an end in September 2021, after overseeing a record-breaking run of 15 consecutive defeats across two seasons.

The irony for Farke was that his final game with the club saw him end that losing streak with a 2-1 victory over Brentford. Sutton backed Norwich’s decision after the game, telling the BBC: “I think Farke’s done a fantastic job, Norwich backed his model, they gave him a four-year deal in the summer.
“This must have been in the thought process for a while. We don’t like to see people sacked, but Norwich City want the best chance to be in the Premier League.”
However, having overseen a dramatic recent improvement at Elland Road, the chances of Farke suffering the same fate appear incredibly slim.
