For the first time this season, Leeds United are finally within touching distance of the automatic promotion places.
Leeds have won four consecutive matches at the start of the New Year and are now just two points adrift of Ipswich Town in second, all be it having played a game more.
They still remain nine points behind Leicester City but they have shown some signs of vulnerability in recent weeks after losing 3-1 at Coventry City, before then being deservedly pegged back by Ipswich.
Peterborough United owner Darragh MacAnthony actually thinks both Southampton and Leeds will catch Leicester at the top of the Championship and they may just be about to receive a major boost in doing so.
According to the Athletic, Brighton & Hove Albion are now in talks with Leicester over a deal for Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, with the Foxes having set an asking price of £30 million.

Losing Dewsbury-Hall at this stage of the window would be an unimaginable blow for Leicester, and probably the equivalent of Crysencio Summerville departing Leeds.
Dewsbury-Hall has been in superb form this season with nine goals and nine assists and is by far and away the Leicester player with the most goal contributions.
At this stage of the window, and for the money Leicester are likely to spend, there is simply no one they could get to come in and replace that sort of output. It could be hugely detrimental to their promotion hopes.
Of course, there is still a significant gap between Leicester and the chasing pack, but it is hard to see them replicating their form over the first 28 matches if someone as important as him departs.
It will be interesting to see if Leicester would sanction a sale at this late stage, but for Leeds’ sake, lets hope they do.
