Leeds United’s 1-1 draw with Plymouth Argyle was another little sign the squad could do with some reinforcements.
Daniel Farke made six changes to his side for the match and despite a dominant first-half, Leeds failed to kill the game off and were punished, meaning they will now have to travel to Plymouth for a replay.
Leeds have just five days now to strengthen their squad before the window slams shut and with no signings having yet been made, the club will have to get a move on in order to do so.
With Archie Gray out injured, Jamie Shackleton came into replace him at right-back but did not look overly comfortable and that is certainly a position that needs an addition.
According to the Daily Mail, though, Leeds are now set to face Premier League competition for target Connor Roberts, with Brentford keen on signing the 28-year-old.

Dutch champions Feyenoord are also interested in signing Roberts before Thursday’s deadline, as they have already seen an offer rejected for fellow Leeds target Neco Williams, by Nottingham Forest.
Roberts is said to be a ‘concrete target’ of Leeds’ this month and is open to a move to Elland Road, with several of his Wales international teammates already at the club.
Burnley are also willing to listen to offers for Roberts as he has lost his place in Vincent Kompany’s starting XI at Turf Moor, despite having been key to their Championship title last season.
Roberts is one of a number of right-backs to have been linked with a move to Leeds, with the aforementioned Williams, Ben Johnson and Calvin Ramsay also on the shortlist.
One thing is for sure, Leeds simply have to bring one in before the end of the window or face leaving themselves seriously short in the full-back positions for the rest of the season.
