Archie Gray’s reaction to Leeds United’s 2-1 win over Sunderland as Tottenham star is spotted in the stands

Archie Gray was spotted at Elland Road as the boyhood Leeds United fan still takes time out of his busy schedule to watch his club.

Keen-eyed viewers would’ve spotted the Tottenham star in the stands during the game, as Gray watched on as Leeds beat Sunderland 2-1.

Gray would’ve seen the performance of referee Stuart Atwell, as he already knows of his status in the Premier League, as Neil Warnock branded Daniel Farke’s yellow card a ‘disgrace’.

However, it didn’t affect the outcome of the game, with Leeds regaining top spot in the Championship.

Gray would no doubt have been thrilled at the result, but now his reaction to the win has been revealed.

Daniel Farke still thinks about the Spurs youngster to this day even though he departed the Whites in the summer, as Farke compared Ao Tanaka to Gray.

There was controversy surrounding the Leeds boss and Tanaka after he took off the midfielder with 20 minutes left for Joe Rothwell.

Of course, it turned out to be a masterstroke with Rothwell grabbing two assists, but Farke said he substituted Tanaka due to set-pieces.

Gray would’ve been in awe of his old manager’s brilliant changes that got Leeds the win, as the Tottenham player was pictured after the game ecstatic at the Sunderland win.

Gray will always be a Leeds hero despite one season at Elland Road

It’s some feat to be this loved by supporters at Gray’s age and after just one season with the first team, the 18-year-old is a Leeds hero.

Of course, it would be brilliant if he was on the pitch, but Gray has shown his efforts for Tottenham this season have proven he’s clear of the Championship standard.

Sunderland captain Dan Neil said Leeds were ‘quality’ and if Gray ever finds himself in a rough patch at Spurs, the door would be wide open for him in Farke’s office.

Who knows, maybe we’ll see Gray playing in the white of Leeds once again, but one thing is for sure, expect a lot more Elland Road appearances from the stands.
