Everton fans should be wary of the mistake Angus Kinnear made at Leeds United which will leave Whites fans livid.

Kinnear looks to be setting his sights on a return to the Premier League, after his time at Arsenal, as his eight years with Leeds could be coming to an end.

The Toffees want the CEO as Kinnear is interested in the Everton position which could see the 49ers seeking their own replacement.

This doesn’t mean anything is set in stone but does give Paraag Marathe and the Whites board to do some thinking about the next steps.

With Kinnear though he has already helped his potential future club in a deal that Leeds fans might’ve forgotten.

Everton target Angus Kinnear rejected £33.5m bid for Jack Harrison at Leeds United

Leeds fans haven’t exactly put the Whites CEO in good stead as Everton fans are against Kinnear’s appointment.

However, they might want to reconsider as he saved the Toffees millions in 2022, which will leave the Leeds faithful absolutely seething.

During the summer of 2022/23, after a successful season in the 21/22 Premier League season, Jack Harrison garnered serious interest.

This became very apparent with Newcastle bidding £33.5m for Harrison, as Kinnear and Leeds rejected the Magpies’ pursuit, according to The Sun.

Certainly one of Kinnear’s regrets now.

As we know, Harrison’s form plummeted, and Leeds fans would no doubt take this in a heartbeat now.

But what makes matters worse is that Harrison ended up joining Everton on loan, the club Kinnear could find himself in, and take Harrison away from Leeds for a much cheaper fee.

Controversial to say the least…

Despite his mistake Leeds might be too harsh on Kinnear’s tenure

It seems a fairly negative assessment from both sides about Kinnear during his time with Leeds and no doubt his calamity with Harrison would’ve heightened the negativity.

But what Kinnear has succeeded in is his brilliant communication around Elland Road which is seemingly what Everton appreciates.

Kinnear has been open about Leeds’ stadium expansion making it clear what steps will be taken to achieve their goal.

Adding to this, Kinnear has been singing Daniel Farke’s praises which has proven to be a brilliant appointment taking into account Leeds’ form at the moment.

If Kinnear does depart for Everton, it should be with his head held high, and the Leeds faithful might regret ushering him out the door.
