Ethan Ampadu has hinted he will be fit for Leeds United’s trip to Hull City this evening.

Ampadu has posted his usual pre-match Instagram story which he does on the day of every game, which is a major hint that he is in the squad for tonight.

Daniel Farke refused to confirm either way in his press conference on Tuesday whether Ampadu would be available after picking up a knock in the 3-0 win at Millwall.

Ampadu received a heavy kick to the knee in stoppage time during the win at the Den as he produced a last-ditch clearance to help preserve Leeds‘ clean sheet.

The 23-year-old was down for around a minute before gingerly getting back to his feet, though it would appear he has recovered sufficiently for tonight’s game.

Ampadu hints he is fit for Leeds vs Hull

Since his £7 million arrival from Chelsea in the summer, Ampadu has already established himself as arguably Leeds’ most important player.

Ampadu is key to the way Farke wants his side to play thanks to his ability to dictate play, as well as his strength out of possession.

For what feels like the first time in years, Leeds do now finally have the strength in depth in midfield to cope with an injury or two, but losing Ampadu’s quality would be a huge blow.

Summer signings Glen Kamara and Ilia Gruev are still yet to make their full debuts, with the latter more of a like-for-like replacement due to his defensive strength.

However, if Ampadu’s story is anything to go by, it would appear that he is indeed fit for this evening, in what will be a huge boost for Leeds.
