Ryan Kent is being linked with a move to Leeds United once again with the winger keen on leaving new side Fenerbahce after a lack of game time – and a rare start on Thursday ended in a 6-1 defeat.
Kent, 27, has endured a bit of a strange start to life in Turkey. He ended a five-year stint at Rangers by moving to Fener, having helped them win the Scottish Premiership, and got to the Europa League final.
Fast forward a few months into his Fenerbahce spell, and he’s started just eight of his side’s 24 games. Just one League start out of a possible 13. But, he has started all five Conference League group games.
Clearly, Fener are playing their best players in the League as they go for the title. Dusan Tadic came in from Ajax in the summer too, and he is starting over Kent at the moment. It has left Kent unhappy.

Indeed, Miliyet said he is unhappy at Fener and is now ‘ready to leave’. TeamTalk say Leeds, Rangers and Bournemouth are all keen on luring him back to these shores. A fee of £6m is required to bring in Kent.
On Thursday, he was handed a starting spot in the Conference League. Fener had won three of their four group games. But, they were smashed 6-1 in Denmark by Nordsjaelland – Kent lasting 74 minutes.
While Kent is getting game time in Europe, he is failing to play in the League. Indeed, he has failed to even play a single minute of six of Fener’s 13 League games. He can’t be happy with that. Time to go.
Whether Fener are willing to let him go immediately remains to be seen. But, TeamTalk’s report does state that a loan with an option of £6m would be deemed acceptable. They got him on a free, after all.
