Leeds United now have just over a week left of the transfer window to address the areas of Daniel Farke’s squad that needs strengthening.
The Whites have brought in just four players so far this summer despite Farke having repeatedly reiterated that every outfield position is in need of strengthening.
Leeds have been no strangers in the past to leaving their business until the last minute, with 12 months ago a clear example as they scrambled around for a striker that ultimately led to the arrival of Wilfried Gnonto.

On this occasion, it isn’t just one position that is going to need focusing on, though, and San Francisco 49ers Enterprises really are running out of time to deliver a squad they promised they would.
But it appears as though Leeds just aren’t learning from their past mistakes, with Sky in Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg delivering another crushing blow this morning.
49ers risk repeat of Leeds mistakes as Amiri rejects Elland Road
Despite Leeds being willing to meet Bayer Leverkusen’s asking price for Nadiem Amiri, the 26-year-old has rejected the chance to come to Elland Road.
Instead, he has made it clear he wants to join Marseille, which poses the question as to whether Leeds had a realistic chance of signing him anyway given the pedigree of the Ligue 1 side.

All be it no where the same amount of time has been wasted, it mirrors that of last summer’s pursuit of Charles de Ketelaere, who Leeds continued to blindly chase despite his clear preference of a move to AC Milan.
Leeds are now going to have to move onto alternative targets but given the time left in the window, it is going to take some effort to ensure they bring in everything that is needed.
One way or another, Leeds supporters are going to learn a whole lot more about the 49ers come 11pm next Friday.
