Luis Sinisterra is starting to make an impression on loan at Bournemouth after a difficult start to life on the south coast, but it could be the Colombian returns to Leeds United in the summer after all.
The 24-year-old joined Bournemouth on deadline day in the summer, becoming the eighth senior player to leave using the relegation loan clause inserted into contracts by former sporting director Victor Orta.
The likes of Robin Koch, Brenden Aaronson, Diego Llorente and others jumped ship like Sinisterra after relegation. He is just one example of Leeds and Bournemouth doing business in the summer window.
Tyler Adams and Jaidon Anthony, too – while Leeds and Bournemouth were both embroiled in transfer battles for the likes of Karl Darlow and Max Aarons. This month, Leeds want a number of Cherries stars.
Kieffer Moore, Chris Mepham and David Brooks are all being linked with a move to Elland Road. But it might be that Sinisterra is the one to relocate to Yorkshire in the summer – according to Dean Jones.

“They’ve got this situation around Sinisterra to deal with because they have still got him on their books. Although he is out on loan, I’m told that he could have a future at Leeds,” Jones told Give Me Sport.
“I’ve seen people playing it down because of fallouts that h’s had in the past at the club, but I don’t think that matters. Sinisterra is still good enough to have a future at Leeds. That needs to be cleared up.”
Luis Sinisterra could return to Leeds United in the summer
Well, Angus Kinnear’s comments about Sinisterra leaving on loan in the summer is a clear sign that there is animosity between the Whites and the attacker. Putting that aside, there’s reason to keep him with us.
He is clearly a Premier League player that can change games. He’s had a hand in three goals for Iraola’s side since overcoming injury – and was even in the voting for the December MOTD goal of the month.
That, and that Leeds spent a lot of money – £21m to be exact – to sign him from Feyenoord. Right now, it is unlikely that Bournemouth pay that figure to keep him, or we rake it back in. He can prove it with time.
