Leeds United’s 2-2 draw with AFC Bournemouth came in the 93rd minute after goals from Joe Rodon and Sean Longstaff.
Leeds United went 2-1 up after Antoine Semenyo opened the scoring from a free-kick. Joe Rodon planted Sean Longstaff’s corner beyond Djordje Petrovic to equalise.
But Longstaff stole the headlines for Leeds against Bournemouth, with his stunning strike putting Daniel Farke’s side ahead. It was the least they deserved given the pressure they put on the visitors.
Longstaff could prove to be a bargain, with the Geordie signing for Leeds from Newcastle United for £15 million.

Leeds United supporters think Sean Longstaff is underrated after 2-2 Bournemouth draw
Former Leeds striker Michael Bridges was on punditry duty and Bridges adores Longstaff already. Some Leeds fans think Longstaff is the ‘signing of the window’ already.
Longstaff was excellent against Newcastle United, which was his first home start in a Leeds shirt. In his second, Leeds fans have taken to X (formerly Twitter) to wax lyrical about what they saw against Bournemouth.
One fan said: “I 100% underappreciated Longstaff as a signing #lufc”, while another agreed: “What a player Longstaff is btw”
A further response read: “sean longstaff putting in an early claim for next year’s ballon d’or #lufc”, and also: “What a player Sean Longstaff is man, he’s everywhere”
Another stated: “Longstaff was outstanding today, DCL also outstanding. #lufc”
A different Lucy added: “Even before that goal, Sean Longstaff, you are a class act! 🔥 #lufc”
Gabriel Gudmundsson played well, but Longstaff was arguably the best player on the pitch for either side.

Graham Smyth and Beren Cross’ verdict on Sean Longstaff
Graham Smyth believes Longstaff has been ‘slept on’ this season already, and his words are ageing better by the day.
He said: “I just think with his Premier League experience as well, I think that could be really, really valuable in finding ways to win games or in rustling the opposition, to the point that it really starts to upset them.
“I think Longstaff could be the one. He could be the surprise one that maybe people slept on him a little bit when he was signed. And I just wonder if he might be the Rothwell of the group, the one that kind of surpasses all expectations.”
Beren Cross said similar, calling Longstaff ‘another level’ during the 2-2 draw at Elland Road.
