Chris Wilder will be in headloss at what Leeds United staff did after hearing about Sheffield United losing

It was an excellent day for Leeds United and Daniel Farke, but the same can’t be said for Chris Wilder.

Leeds are on the up, and Sheffield United look to be heading for the playoffs.

It’s some contrast from the last few weeks, as Farke deserves plaudits for turning around Leeds’ form with back-to-back wins.

Leeds’ win vs Preston has given the Whites some breathing space, but Farke still needs to keep on top of things, making sure results come their way.

For now though, it was the Whites’ day, and as for the Blades, Wilder won’t be happy with the Leeds’ staff following today’s results.

Chris Wilder will fume at Leeds United staff after Sheffield United loss

Burnley and Leeds will be happy, as unfortunately, despite an incredible effort from all three sides, one team has to miss out on automatic places.

With Sheffield’s loss away at Plymouth Argyle, it’s now three defeats on the bounce for the Blades, as Wilder calling out fans has backfired.

His mind games might not appear for the rest of the season as it’s Farke’s side firmly in the dirivng seat now.

A spirited performance at Elland Road vs Preston will be a huge boost, especially with results going Leeds’ way, and the backroom staff’s reaction says it all.

Farke’s staff could be seen pumping their arms in the air after Plymouth scored their winner against Wilder, which will frustrate the Blades boss even more.

Leeds have no excuse at all in the promotion race after Sheffield bottle

With results working perfectly for Leeds, Farke knows the book of excuses has run out.

A five-point gap between Wilder’s side is more than enough to get the job done, let alone the fact that Burnley and Sheffield still have to play each other.

If anything, the title is in their hands firmly, and even if promotion is secured, fans will be seething if the title isn’t in White, yellow, and blue ribbons at the end of the season.

Paraag Marathe wants Farke long-term at Leeds, and fans will be in agreement if the task they’ve set out to do gets completed very soon.
