£7m player would like to join Leeds United this summer

Leeds United have received encouragement from one of their top summer targets they are interested in a move to Elland Road.

Frustrations are beginning to grow among Leeds supporters at the lack of incoming action, but that does not mean work is not going on behind-the-scenes.

Leeds can take the signing of Joe Rothwell a week ago as evidence of that, given he was first rumoured and announced within the space of just a few hours.

What’s more, Leeds had only just completed their first signing of the summer in Ethan Ampadu this time last year, and have brought in three already.

However, following both Daniel Farke and Paraag Marathe’s comments about wanting to hit the ground running, it has been a slow start on the whole and works needs to start happening soon.

How Jayden Bogle feels about a move to Leeds

Since the 49ers came in last July, Leeds have kept cards close to their chest when it comes to leaking their targets publicly.

However, there are a couple who Leeds are known to be looking, one of which is Jayden Bogle given the number of right-back options they have lost so far this summer.

Leeds have seen two offers turned down by Sheffield United for Bogle, with their asking price of £7 million still some way from being met by the Whites.

To have gone in with two bids, though, means Leeds must’ve been given some encouragement behind-the-scenes regarding Bogle. Speaking exclusively to LeedsUnited.News, transfer expert Graeme Bailey says they have.

Bailey claims Bogle is keen to make the move across Yorkshire and believes it is a deal Leeds will be able to get over the line, providing they meet Sheffield United’s asking price.

He said: “I understand he does want to go and make the move to Leeds. I see that one happening, I think they will get there in the end but they need to pay for him. Leeds need that right-back and maybe Kristensen moving on will help with that. I think they will probably get him.”

Leeds need to stump up cash for Bogle

There aren’t many better right-backs at this level than Bogle and if they really want him, Leeds simply need to stump up the cash.

Clearly they have received word Bogle wants the move, so there really is no excuse not to get it done considering the number of right-backs that have gone.

£7 million is not a bad fee at all for a player who is still only 23, but has played over 150 matches across both the Championship and Premier League.

Hopefully this is one that Leeds can make some real progress on in the next couple of days, before their tour of Germany.
