Leeds United are promoted back to the Premier League but there’s still one more thing to achieve: the Championship title.
There will have been many a sore head across Leeds on Tuesday morning after Leeds United players, staff and fans celebrated long into the Easter Monday night.
Daniel Farke’s side secured promotion in uncharacteristically stress-free fashion after smashing Stoke City 6-0 and then watching Burnley get the crucial win over Sheffield United at Turf Moor.
The Clarets also secured their own promotion with the 2-1 victory, leaving Chris Wilder to congratulate both clubs through gritted teeth.
Though the biggest prize of the season has been secured, both Leeds and Burnley will be aiming to finish the campaign on top of the Championship table and add a title to their trophy collection.
Here’s how each of the two sides’ remaining fixtures compare.

Leeds United and Burnley remaining Championship fixtures
The true drama of the season has now concluded but we are left with a pretty enticing two-way shoot-out for the Championship title.
Leeds and Burnley remain level on 94 points and the title race is going to go to the wire.
| Position | Team | Played MP | Won W | Drawn D | Lost L | For GF | Against GA | Diff GD | Points Pts |
| 1 | 44 | 27 | 13 | 4 | 89 | 29 | 60 | 94 | |
| 2 | 44 | 26 | 16 | 2 | 61 | 15 | 46 | 94 |
Thanks to their ridiculous goal difference, Leeds have a 14-goal advantage on Burnley, so will almost certainly finish as champions should the two sides finish on the same number of points.
Farke’s side just needs to match Burnley’s results to claim the title, with it being very possible that both teams finish on 100 points.
| Leeds fixtures | Burnley fixtures |
| Bristol City – H | QPR – A |
| Plymouth Argyle – A | Millwall – H |
Burnley will have the chance to steal a march on Leeds, though, as they play earlier next weekend.
Scott Parker’s side take on QPR on Saturday, while Leeds must wait until Monday evening for their final game at Elland Road against a Bristol City side still fighting to secure their Play-off place.
The Whites may benefit from the extra time to recover from Monday’s wild partying, though.
Leeds face another team with something left to compete for on the final day as they travel to Plymouth Argyle, who are still scrapping for their lives at the bottom of the table.
Burnley, meanwhile, face Millwall, who still might have a chance of reaching the Play-offs.
What Daniel Farke has said about Championship title race with Burnley
Though Ethan Ampadu made it clear he wants to win the Championship title after promotion was secured, Farke didn’t even want to think about it until after the celebrations.
He told Sky Sports when asked about his thoughts on the title: “No, at the moment I’m just thinking about next drink, next drink and next drink over the next couple of hours because we are so disciplined in the last days and weeks.
“Afterwards, we will think about other things, of course, all the teams played on the top level. Burnley or Sheffield United would have deserved the title in this amazing Championship season.
“We know we still have a chance and we would like to do but the main thing, the major prize is the Premier League.
“I will lead the party, that’s definitely for sure, because it was a long year and it costs a lot of energy to be in charge of this club.
“You have to enjoy the moment because if you don’t enjoy these moments, one day you will ask yourself why are you doing all the hard work and the hours.
“It’s important to enjoy the moment, next two or three days we just celebrate and then we go again.”
