The time remaining on every Leeds United player’s contract as four players could leave for free in 2026.
Leeds United have spent over £100m in the 2025 summer transfer window to upgrade the squad for the Premier League with 10 new signings.
Daniel Farke and fans alike were still left reeling after Leeds failed to bring in an extra forward on deadline day, but the club still has a talented squad.
All the new signings, as well as many of the talented stars at Elland Road, are tied down to long-term contracts, ensuring Leeds will have a quality collection of players even if they are relegated.
However, some other stars are approaching the end of their current deals, with four set to expire in the summer of 2026.
Here’s the length of every player’s contract in the first-team squad as of September 2025.

Four Leeds players could agree a move in January
The quartet of players with less than a year remaining on their contracts will be free to start looking for a new club soon.
Players whose contracts expire in the summer are allowed to begin talks and sign pre-contract agreements with foreign clubs from January 1.
Though that’s unlikely to come into much use for Darlow, Byram or Cairns, Meslier will no doubt be eyeing an exciting move after failing to leave Yorkshire this past summer.
Leeds won’t be too concerned about losing any of the four players on a free, but should start considering offering stars whose deals expire in 2027 new deals before they enter their final years.
