Adam Underwood is still yet to make his first move this summer with Leeds United remaining patient in the transfer window, despite the club’s need to strengthen after promotion.
Since promotion was confirmed back in April, Leeds have been linked with an enormous amount of new players. Most-recently, Udinese defender Jaka Bijol has been touted with a £17m move to Elland Road.
The list of players linked with Leeds since promotion has now exceeded 80, as The Whites look to build a squad capable of fighting for Premier League survival and give Daniel Farke a shot at keeping Leeds up.
A midfielder will be required this summer with Joe Rothwell returning to Bournemouth and Leeds already confirming Josuha Guilavogui will leave when his deal expires on June 30. One option is Julian Weigl.

How much Weigl will cost if Leeds pursue potential Farke reunion
Farke and Weigl worked together at Gladbach during the 2022-23 season, a player that has since become the Bundesliga side’s captain. A Germany international, Weigl has failed to reach his Dortmund potential.
However, he remains a very competent midfielder in Germany’s top tier. Excellent on the ball and superb with his passing, Weigl would give this Leeds midfield plenty of experience but a technical quality, too.
Leeds are interested in a reunion between Farke and Weigl, and now a report from BMG News says that Gladbach would have to consider a sale if a fee between £4.2m and £8.4m is tabled for the midfielder.

What Farke recently said about his old midfielder Weigl
A player boasting Germany caps and over 200 Bundesliga appearances, Weigl has also been willing to leave his home nation to pursue his career. His move to Benfica shows he could be open to joining Leeds.
Farke rarely talks about players contracted to other clubs but in a left-field interview with German media towards the end of the season, Farke described Weigl as a “great footballer” amid Leeds rumours.
With The Whites now promoted and easily able to afford the asking price seemingly put in place by Max Wober’s old loan side, there is a real chance that Leeds pursue a move to land Weigl in the coming weeks.
