Leeds United are starting to get heavily involved in the transfer window with just 25 days until the opener against Portsmouth, but one player has chosen to ignore interest from Elland Road.
Instead, he has opted to move to a Championship promotion rival on a free transfer. Leeds are starting to consider new signings after conducting a fire sale in the first weeks of the window, to balance the books.
Five sales will turn into six, as Glen Kamara undergoes a Rennes medical today ahead of an £8.5m move. He follows Archie Gray, Kris Klaesson, Marc Roca, Diego Llorente and Charlie Cresswell in being sold.
That is expected to have raked in around £60m in transfer fees so far. Four have gone on loan, in the form of Jack Harrison, Sam Greenwood, Darko Gyabi and Sonny Perkins and again, more could follow them.

Plenty have left on a free transfer too including Liam Cooper. In terms of incoming, Leeds have secured three new signings and linked with plenty more including former Coventry City star Callum O’Hare.
The 26-year-old starred for Mark Robins’ side last season, scoring 10 goals and laying on four more in 36 games despite missing the first couple of months as he recovered from a cruciate ligament issue.
Leeds had been linked with a move to sign the “talented” attacker but O’Hare has now completed a move to Sheffield United, penning a four-year deal at Bramall Lane and choosing the Blades over Elland Road.

Prior to his move, The Sun’s Alan Nixon reported on his Patreon channel that O’Hare was edging towards a move to Sheffield United over Leeds and that has turned out to be the case, signing until June 2028.
O’Hare has told his new club’s website that he felt like Sheffield United was the right move, and how a meeting with Chris Wilder helped sway him over a move to The Blades instead of Leeds and other clubs.
“I am buzzing to be here. It is a big club; I had some interest from some other teams and other leagues but I just thought that this was the right step in my career so I can’t wait to go out there now and play.
“I met Chris Wilder in Birmingham and from there I obviously knew what a top man he was. He kept in touch and since, the conversations kept flowing. I knew he was definitely the right person to work under.”
