Leeds United are now being linked with a player that has impressed in the Bundesliga over the last 12 months, a player that has been compared to Timo Werner and Cristiano Ronaldo.
With Crysencio Summerville and Willy Gnonto likely to leave the club this summer, and Jaidon Anthony already confirming his return to Bournemouth, Leeds will need a new winger or two in the summer.

Leeds need a winger this summer then, and one player that they are being linked to this week is Stuttgart and DR Congo player Silas. It comes after a bit of an indifferent season with the impressive German side.
Indeed, Silas only managed to start nine of his 30 appearances in a Stuttgart shirt during 2023-24. He still had a hand in 13 goals and that ability to score and create despite not starting games, caught the eye.
Silas compared to Ronaldo and Werner amid Leeds United links
Renowned for being rapid, but also good in the air given his 6ft 2in height, Silas has a bit of everything you want in a winger. The speed and skill to beat a man, but acting as a striker at the back post as well.
The Bundesliga website did a profile piece on Silas back in 2023, having now spent five years on the books with the German side. They said he plays a bit like £8.5m Tottenham man Werner, and Ronaldo.
“There are few as direct as Silas, who plays as if there is a magnet drawing him towards goal. One player similar is Timo Werner, who can play wing or through the middle but always finds himself in the box.
“With his rangy, imposing 6ft 2in frame, Silas also has something in common with the Cristiano Ronaldo of a few years ago – a winger with pace, dribbling and an appetite for goals, who, played like a striker.”
Silas would be a top signing but Leeds have a problem
Four problems in total, for Silas. Newly-promoted Auxerre want him to forefront their bid for safety in France’s top tier next season, where they will take on another interested club in the form of RC Lens.
Villarreal struggled during 2023-24 and they need a bit of an overhaul, interested in making Silas a part of that. Leeds are not the only English club keen, with Fulham ready to take a chance in the Premier League.
For the quoted price of around £7m-£8m, Silas has the potential to be a right bargain for any of the clubs mentioned. But if he wants to be first choice, then he needs to sign on at Elland Road.
